Slow Sounds Yoga

Join yoga teacher Lauren Parr and Poppy Roy with her crystal sound bowls for a Saturday afternoon relaxation session to raise funds for the Gatehouse Community Hub.

Drop into deep relaxation, letting go of any tensions with 90 minutes of deeply restorative yoga and sonic vibrations. The session will begin gently, with a restorative yin yoga practise led by Lauren focused on calming, grounding and relaxation. Followed by a deep, extended rest where Poppy will play the quartz crystal singing bowls throughout, to encourage mindful harmony of body and mind.

Both yoga and sound healing are great for calming the mind and body. The many benefits include reducing stress and cortisol, supporting the nervous system and promoting a healing state within the body. Leave feeling relaxed and rested.

No experience is required, these sessions welcome any body, at any level. Throughout the yoga sequence, several options will be given throughout. Participants will be thoughtfully encouraged to listen to their body to guide their own practice. To end there is a space in which you can share your experience, ask any questions or just sit in a space of relaxation.
